Dell OptiPlex 760 series use common BIOS. It's a hadware limitation, not BIOS's probllem. Read this & that.

Hey fellas!

Can someone please make a modified bios for dell Optiplex 760 to support Intel Core2Quad 9550S? After changing to Q9550S the machine posts but gives invalid cpu error message.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Show a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.
And post a photo of the screen with "invalid cpu error message".

Downgraded to A15 then flashed mod, still same consistency error. Now trying linux method again without -reboot option
