I think you posted this in the wrong forum. There is a forum subsection dedicated to whitelist removals.

Hi,

I'm attempting to backup the BIOS on my Lenovo Z580 using the tools posted on this forum (BACKUP_Tools and Universal Bios Backup). I'm able to get the BACKUP_Tools to run and generate the results.rar file; however, when launching the Universal BIOS Backup executable, I get the following error: Can not identify the BIOS!. I launched both exe's with administrator privileges.

Results.rar from Backup Tools:

http://rghost.net/8Vxdzr2XG

Screen Capture from BIOS Bootup Info:

Link to BIOS Info Screenshot: Boot Screen

BIOS Version: 5FCN91WW

I tried using other BIOS Backup Tools, including winphlash, but can't get it to only backup the BIOS since it keeps requesting an input BIOS file to upgrade and I want to backup only.

Thanks in advance for your help in making the backup copy so I can provide it for whitelist removal.

Sovem,

So the one executable tool that did work contained the BIOS backup? If so, great to hear! I'll give this a shot tomorrow (after backing up critical files) and report back!

Thanks,

Yeah, mod from your backup.
Hi! Can someone remove whitelist from my bios?
It would be great if there will be also hidden tabs.

Thanks in advance!

Flashed. Everything works! Thanks once again.
Just providing an interim update. The BIOS flashed successfully. I'm going to order the new wireless card today and will report back with final results. Thanks very much for editing the BIOS file!
