could you send a photo or screeenshot about what is in that menu?? finally I managed to get working that rare OS without bios modding, but if there's any interesting option there, i would think about unlocking my bios..

The way how to get access to Advanced and Power menu in BIOS of notebooks Acer Aspire VN7 series.

I can confirm that Vodek has found the right NVRAM variable to unlock Error 28
and to show the Advanced - Power Tabs !
We have to check on all Acer VN7 series Laptop !

I still got Error 28 when I tried to flash my bios. Anyone know how can I disable Protected Range Registers?

I have a Acer VN7-591G with a bios version of 1.13. When I tried to flash my bis, I kept getting the same message,
"Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers."

I have already used prr.exe and prr2.exe but with no luck. I already had my bios unlocked to get advanced setting. Can anyone tell me what I can do?
