here is the Bios Mod Sli 2.1 + ADV (based on your Bios mod vBios) :

Could you reupload the file? Will this also work for the i5-5200U/GTX-850M version?
I am thinking about buying it used (400 euro is a pretty good price for it) and would like to unlock its bios like I did with my aspire 5741
Hi.

So I have extracted the .fd file, uncompressed with the phoenix tool, located the correct bios file, editied with the maxwell editor saved the edited bios.

However I am unsure what needs to be done now. there isn't really clear instruction on this. I tried flashing with FPT using the 102kb bios file I can't think of anything else (for example how do you ACTUALLY repack the bio's into the .fd file?). assistance would be appreciated. clean instructions would be great Big Grin. Every time I have tried FPT so far I get "fptw64 cannot be run on this platform" after running the query above.

Hi!
You can send me the file backup of your bios via PM.  For creating backup of bios use attached program. Unzip attached archive directly on the Desktop and run the program as Administrator (right click mouse). Program will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Send me this archive "results" via PM.

The only thing I can think of that is "repacking" is clicking "GO" on the Phoniex tool however it asks for an SLIC file. The preset ones that come with the Phoneix tool doesn't have an acer BIN

just to be sure we are talking about the same Phoniex tool:

I have figured out the Error 201: [FPTw64.exe] cannot be run on the current platform problem. I just needed to use a newer version of fpt 10.xxxxx I was trying to use 8.xxxx before. You can get the latest one from GitHub.

I still don't know which SLIC to try and use with the phonix tool however, if I select no SLIC the new .fd file "repacks" ok but fpt tells me the sizes aren't the same and would I like to truncate the size to match? this worries me and I would like someone who has successfully completed the process to: a) confirm what SLIC was successfully used, b) were they prompted with the unmatching sizes in fpt and did they choose yes or no?

Please any one whom has successfully flashed the bios please respond so the larger community can benefit from this knowledge, then a comprehensive guide can be made.
I would like to ask for unlocking bios for my acer. I have difficulties with my wifi NGFF slot and trying to solve it by hidden settings. Hopefully You could help me with that. Laptop: Acer VN7-591g

Could anyone help me to unlock the BIOS for my VN7-591G?
However, I am completely clueless about the entire process.
My aim is to get to chipset parameters and see if i could enable PTT.
