There is a Board on the same Elitegroup p4m890t-m rev 1.0 chipset ... I want to make the Core 2 quad Q6600 (Slacr) 95w processor work on it . The processor is detected, allows you to enter the bios, but freezes at the system boot stage (black screen and flashing white cursor) ... Is it possible to fix this in a modified BIOS?
Post a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.
Make a photo of BIOS page with CPU information with your Q6600 installed.
Post a This is how the core2duo e7500 (wolfdale) series processor is defined on this motherboard. Unfortunately, to press "Y" or "N" in the main boot screen, you need to have a PS/2 keyboard that I don't have only USBscreenshot of third
As an experiment, I filled in the P4m890T-M(v1.0) BIOS from P4m900T-M(v1.0) (like the boards are very similar, although the latter has unofficial support for Xeon/Quad) -The result : a black screen ,judging by the post card hanging on the post D1
I still need a screenshot of third (Mainboard) tab of CPU-Z.
Unfortunately ,this motherboard with this processor does not start Windows, and periodically hangs on the initialization of controllers...
You need to use supported CPU.

Done!
At first you need to update BIOS to 070808 version and check with Q6600 and E7500 again.

Updated the BIOS to the latest official version. Unfortunately that didn't help either((((
