Greetings all!

Any luck with the BIOS mod for the HP Compaq nc8430 that gkcmilner orignally inquired about?

Like him, I'm also using the newest BIOS revision, BIOS F.16 and I'm trying to install a Intel 4965AGN Mini PCI-E wireless card.

Any help is appreciated Smile Even if you can mention how I can do it myself I can attempt that!
Any luck?

Hello,

I am having issues enabling a USB BT dongle on the WWAN port of my little HP Mini 110-3000ca. The Mini PCIe connector is not populated on this machine so I decided to use the USB on this connector to internalize the dongle. It is giving me the "105-Unsupported wireless broadband device detected" error. I would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help by removing the whitelist to enable any USB devices on the WWAN connector.

The Insyde bios is located here:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50001-50500/sp50147.exe
Version:F.13 F

Thanks in advance

Hang on a minute , your using the WWAN MiniPciE slot to run a USB Adapter? How did you manage that?
Hi Expert,

Can help me to mod a BIOS for my HP 6910p to allow the use of 3rd party WWAN card?

HP approved WWAN card hs2300:
USB\VID_03F0&PID_1E1D

3rd party WWAN I want to use - MC8775:
USB\VID_1199&PID_6812

Latest HP 6910p BIOS F.19 can be found here:

Thank you very much.
Hello everyone,

Great work! And glad to hear about all of those who got their bios working without he dreaded whitelist!

I was wondering if someone could remove whitelist from HP/Phoenix bios version F.3b or F.34, either or, doesn't matter...for an HP Pavillion DV2415US.

Also, can someone assure me, if I mess up something, will this laptop model be able to recover using Phoenix recovery, because I hear that HP made some laptops not accept the crisis recovery disk for some reason.

Thanks to everyone, I'm really looking forward to getting this to work!
