Acer Aspire X1300 slic 2.1 bios mod req
#1
Hello I did a search and did find an old thread archived that had the mod but none of the links work.
I would like to have slic 2.1 added to acer Aspire x1300 R01.B3 bios.

Acer Aspire X1300
Bios type=pheonix
Bios ver= R01.B3
Link to bios bios file
Source of bios file= Source of Bios

I had to change the file to .txt in order to upload it here just change the name back.
Thank you in advance

Attached Files
.txt   AcpiTbls.txt (Size: 421.61 KB / Downloads: 1)

Flash from DOS with included Flash utility (boot to DOS and run flash.bat).
(Official (non modified) same version bios must be flashed at first, then, after reboot - flash modified one).
Clear cmos and load defaults after reboot.

Thank you, just a quick question "why the need to flash a stock bios first?" I've flashed a number of computers over the years and this is the first time I've seen this requirement. Is it just to make sure the bios chip will accept a flash? Anyway thanks again I will flash this in a couple of days.

to update bootblock first.
for official bios : AWDFLASH R01B3.BIN /py /sn /cd /cp /wb /cks /cc /e
for modified bios : AWDFLASH R01B3SL.BIN /py /sn /cd /cp /sb /cks /cc /e
wb - Programming BootBlock
sb - Skip BootBlock programming
