Asus P5Q for 3TB drives
#1

I have an Asus P5Q and using mBios 2209 by Kets

P5Q Changelog:

- Update memory table to P5Q Pro Turbo 602
- Update P6 table to P5Q Premium 2406
- Update Marvell O-ROM to 1.1.0.L73
- Update intel O-ROM to v9.6.0.1014

Is it possible to updateO-ROM 9.6.0.1014 to OROM 10.6.0.1091?

Here is the link and download page

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/show...IOS/page92

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UI85YVWK

P.S. My mobo is just Plain P5Q

Thanks

Modded a bunch; did not attempt to unlock Intel Matrix RAID in the couple that didn't have it. I have no power at my house so I have no access to most of my tool collection.

Those that have Intel Matrix RAID have been upgraded to 11.0
Those with Marvell 88SE6121 have been upgraded to L75

No Jmicron was touched. I noticed that one has a JMB361 but I don't have a ROM on hand for that and don't feel like modding the JMB363 ROM to make it work.

All untested. I couldn't tell you if 11.0 works on this board or not...
aaand the Deluxe.

P.S. I have made these filenames long and descriptive, but if you're flashing from the USB stick method (as you should), you should rename them to be 8.3 compliant.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

I just successfully flash my bios with this mBios.
Not yet tested for SSD or 3TB Drive

Thanks a bunch!

Dansolo,

I think we have a problem with the Deluxe mobo

http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=2...Q%20Deluxe

Anybody here in the forum tested the mBios for P5Q Deluxe? Any Feedback?

The problem reported is not descriptive enough. Is it showing the RAID OROM text output and then hanging? Perhaps 11.0 is not supported and we'll have to try 10.1.

Any chance you can make a bios for the Asus P5Q-E? ...or would I be able to use one of the others that you have created?

I've recently purchased a 3TB drive and the BIOS does not recognize it. I know the board is old, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it Smile

I've tried using a custom bios that I found elsewhere, but it did not remedy the issue.

Any help or input is greatly appreciated ... I just want to be able to use my drive without having to buy a separate sata controller card.

Thanks!

There is 2 HDD on 2tb and system board of p5q deluxe. And in Raid0 can not set Windows 7. I look that is modification with new Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM, in which must work HDD with a largeness. But why is not modification for p5q deluxe???!?!?
Please help to do starting Raid0 on 4Tb or throw down on mail modified BIOS for p5q deluxe with new Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM

I was not able to find a theme with this problem, it is only http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=2...uage=en-us
Possible to write direct reference on .ROM for p5q deluxe with O-ROM 10.5+
If it is impossible to place here ask that in PM.
