BIOS Unlock request for eMachines D620
#1
Hello all! I'm new in here.

My eMachines D620 has no option to enable AHCI in BIOS Menu.
I would like to enable it.
I'm interested in other options in hidden menu, too.
If you can, please unlock BIOS.
( I'm sorry for my poor English.)

System: eMachines D620-T1
BIOS: V1.03

Thanks all!

You are welcome here Smile
also you can see all options hidden and not hidden inside your bios through phoenix bios editor in the strings tab and then you will see all options then let me knew what you need to unlock if anything is important for you but sure you will not find ahci as its not in this bios .

Question
Hello there!
I would like to know if it's possible to mod the bios to extend the RAM limit. If so, could you please explain how you do it or otherwise what i have to do?
Code:
Map of firmware memory ranges (from int 15h function E820h)

Address Size Type
=================== =================== =================
0x00000000`00000000 0x00000000`0009DC00 1 (memory)

If i'm understand well the memory limit above 4GiB was introduced intentionally.

Thanks in advance.

If the RAM is limited to 4GB ,then its limited by the hardware no the BIOS .
But if its limited to 4GB and it only recognize 3GB , then this means its limited by the BIOS through the TOLUD register ..... i don`y knew how to modify this register but i just knew its the problem .
