HP 635 bios problem
#1
Hi All
I have problem with hp 635 bios
Motherboard PN:646980-001 with AMD procesor
My problem is that laptop switch on but its not booting and there is no image on display external or internal.
All ready changed RAM,chipset cmos battery but i have same problem.
Now i try to flash bios with programer tl866 and im new in this.
The thing is if i download bios flash from HP site and if i extract files from .exe file i get files like on picture.
If i program bios chip with one of two .bin files my laptop dosent wont to switch on at all.
When i return old(original) bin laptop switch on with same problem doesnt boot and no image.
Please if someone can explain which is the correct way to extract bin file?

You need to use some program to convert these files in usable file for programmer.
You can also try this method:

1. downloaded EFI Recovery Tool
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60001-60500/sp60202.exe

2. created the recovery USB Stick (Kingston 1Gb, pre-formatted FAT16 (FAT32 also works))

3. the fetched the first bios version
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57288.exe

4. unzipped using 7-zip

5. loaded 01885.bin with phoenixtool (2.50)

6.copied to usb drive
01885.bin.DEC -> 01885.bin
RSA.SIG -> 01885.sig

into directories:
/
/Volumes/HP_TOOLS/Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Current/
/Volumes/HP_TOOLS/Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/New/
/Volumes/HP_TOOLS/Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Previous/
Copy files in ROOT!!!
All this is for HP655 but procedure is same!

Battery out
HDD detached
USB in
A/C in
WIN+B
Power Button (1sec)
WIN+B release after 4 sec

everything fine
