BIOS (SX58JSTD.105) already has microcode for W3670.

You are rirght, i checked the codes and they are there. Funny, i7-970 should work, also 980x and 990x (on shuttle homepage), but no Xeon, even the w-Types which are identical....
Any idea why this could be?

I think it's hardware incompatibility.
