#1
Hello, to all!

I have Medion Tablet E1239T with Insyde h20 Rev. 5.0 Bios Uefi only. TM12-W
I am able to flash original downloaded update File with H20FFT-W.exe
I am able to create backup with H20FFT-W.exe to.
I am able to create backup with universal Bios Backup Tool.

I don't find a way to extract or change the boot logo, by EzH20 or Andys Phoenix tool.
It seems the boot logo is not in the dump.

.rar   TMXX-W.rar (Size: 10.69 MB / Downloads: 39)

I attached:
2 Pics of minimal Bios
1 Pic of displayed logo (it should be deleted or changeg)
original exe bios update from medion
extracted TMXX-W.bin
backup.fd from H20FFT-W.exe
backup_andystool.rom from andys phoenix tool

Please help me!!

Best regards Daniel from Austria

Also test this one .

It is modified base on backup.fd that you attach .
Testing it and check if there is any change on boot logo .

Hi genius239,

InsydeFlash print the following error:

It only supports to flash secure BIOS on current platform.
The image to be updated is not a secure BIOS.

Have you any idea?

Do you think, it should be work by flashing under DOS enviroment???
If yes, do you have a "ToDo"?

Great thanks to you.
Best regards

Hello genius239,
now I have time to taste.
I can not find logo module after extract files with phoenix tool.
Only the file "20BC8AC9-94D1-4208-AB28-5D673FD73486_15.ROM" and "PADDING_16.ROM" have different size between the original and yours file.
But i can not open the files with any graphic program.

I don't finde the modules:

What kind of software do i need??

I can't find this modules on the dump folder?!
I attached my DUMP folder in rar archive and two pics of phoenixtool settings
It looks always the same with backup.fd or original .bin

Only the size of following modules is differnt between your files and the original.
"20BC8AC9-94D1-4208-AB28-5D673FD73486_15.ROM" and "PADDING_16.ROM"

my phoenix version: 2.50

I don't know why we have different dumps?

Hi!
Now the extracting of all modules works with phoenixtool 273

If i want to flash with Inside flash tool
after reboot and before starts the flashing i get following error:

InsydeH20 - Secure Flash
Error: Firmware update failed!!!
Please press any key to reset system. . . . . .

only if i change the images!
the same result with similar filesize like the original image!

If i want to flash the phoenix tool slic file of original bin or backup fd file - it works!

Do you know different flashing tool or a way to disable verifying??
