I know BDMaster long time, and he is one of my mentors.
He is a good guy and could had no intention on sending a virus to you.
Anti virus are useless pal and of course they would accuse a modded BIOS of being a trojan or a Virus. Just turn if off and flash your BIOS.

Not saying anyone did anything wrong, my NIS 2014 picked it up as a possible problem, so I choose not to risk it since once your bios is gone it hard to get back. Also NIS 2014 Deletes it and does not allow access anyhow.

Hi can someone here help.

I have a Aspire One that I want to delegate to duties driving a 3D printer. Problem is that the software will not run as there is not enough video memory. In the bios it is fixed at 8MB and I need to adjust this up.

I saw this post and within it I saw that camiloml had a modded bios in his bios repository but this does not have the video ram setting unlocked.

Can someone help with unlocking the video memory settings.

Original Bios:

Camiloml's modded version:

Hello, friend!
I gave a look to orig and mod Bios and found request setting.
I can unlock this option but it not solving your problem.
Video memory can be changed between two values only.
It are 8 Mb (current) and 1 mb.
I'm sorry Sad

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

Thanks Da Vinci, not good news but thanks for letting me know.

I have also been looking into options myself and I see there is a way to take a dumped bios and changes existing settings within it.

It is a bit above me though, do you know how to do this?

I can dump my bios to disk and run the tools mentioned in that tutorial but finding where the memory setting is has me stumped. I just want it changed to something like 128MB or even 64MB.
If I brick the netbook it is not a problem as it is useless to me without this change anyway.

Ok.Here piece of text captured by Universal IFR extractor (Donovan6000 is author)
Setting: Video memory:, Variable: 0xEE
Option:1Mb , value 0x0
Option:8Mb , value 0x1 (current)

Setting: IGD - Pre-Allocated Memory:, Variable: 0xEE
Option:1Mb , value 0x0
Option:8Mb , value 0x1 (current)
You can see two values only. Value 0x2 and above are absent so you can'nt increase VRAM by this Bios. I can try to add third value (it's very difficult and risky-you can brick you laptop because VRAM over 8 MB not available for you laptop)
Do you have access in selectable menu-Video Conficuration?
I found like setting between 64-128-256 Mb but i think it is not solving your broblem.
The option named "PEG Aperture Size"

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

Agreed, apeture size is not the graphics memory size.

Ok thanks anyway, I'll just have to look at an alternative solution for what I want to do.
