Yes, see if AFU allows you to flash back your dump or not, it will either error or proceed.  Nothing more will happen, don't worry Big Grin

Yep, it is. Ehm, Dump via Command executed, but only thing happens is Adminrightpermission PopUp, and then a Windows shows up for one sec, also the console give's no Information of Succes. The Dump, if done correctly with CMD, should be placed in the same folder i think?

Ok, then i'll try a Flashback now and will Report, if things get worse then not! Big Grin

Ps.: FlashBack with my AFu gave Error 18 - Secure Flash Rom Verfiy Fail

But, no, if it ever bricks you wont need to replace the chip only reprogram it with a  flash programmer (CH341A) and SOIC8 test clip cable.  Both are $2.50 each on ebay, let me know if you need links, usually 3-5 weeks to deliver if ordered that cheap but well worth the wait and good to have in hand when playing with BIOS (even stock BIOS can brick, so always good to have these tools since so cheap)

Good to know with the Rescue-Tools/Hardware! So just for the case i'll take the links to Order, thx. =)

Dump via IST-V11 worked like charm after creating a cmd withm adminrights in the Folder, Dump is attached!

If cmd is only popping up for a second then you need to open the cmd window first by itself then enter your command. This should always be process, or disable UAC, but even then you need to open command prompt at folder location as I've outlined previously

"Inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, inside that a Win or Win32 folder, select that Win folder and hold shift, then press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell). >> Then run the following command"

Flashback does not have any screen output, so cannot be giving you an error, you must be confusing flashback with something else? Flashback is done with the computer off and screen or system it never powered on.

Reading your comments again in the first post, about Asus UEFI being slow and wanting legacy BIOS, can't you press F7 on BIOS page and get the old style text type settings adjustments? You should be able to do that, but no you can't go back to old non GUI type BIOS. What did you mean slow, are you talking mouse reactions? If yes, you can try another USB Port (different controllers), some might work better than others. Since they did not add in BIOS mouse speed adjustments for this BIOS/model that is about all you can do.

Here is mod BIOS, flash with FPT and do it how I mentioned above and at end of post #8 (Open command window first, then type in command below)
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...3124436498

FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregm.bin

This BIOS is user specific, no one else use this file or you will loose your serial, UUID, DTS Key etc

Ohh! Here is recovery tools links in case you ever need

Hi, great job on modifying that bios! i've been waiting and searching for it for a long time;

i going to ask you if you can modify bios from my Asus ROG G752VS-XS74K (Intel Core i7-7820HK OC version);
This laptop is overclocked by default, by manufacture, and very unstable, and in the BIOS there is no overclock option; I'd like to unlock that OC option so i can play with Processor, Memory voltage; and if there is other good menu options are hidden to be unlock;

If you don't mind, please let me know what i need to do,
Thank you,

For me G752VSK version sheet is (i7-7700HQ 2x16GB+8GB DDR4 2400MHz Samsung RAM , 256+1024GB NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD , GTX 1070 8GB , FHD/120Hz G-SYNC)
There were overheating troubles, uv at me he was rehearsed and it lightened up it is necessary to exchange the motherboard. An academic specialisation service exchanged it in a guarantee and 85c degree now the maximum (Prime95 Blend + FurMark GPU Stress under a test - max. FurMark with a setting FHD with a resolution)
So special BIOS would come in handy for me, but there may be only a dream is left over merely?  Blush

@zimotik - Thank you! I unlock it all (Usually), then you find the settings you want to play with Big Grin If you find any missing vs what you see in AMIBCP, let me know and I can further enable those for you, but my method without seeing your BIOS in person and being able to test after mod myself, usually gets 99% of all settings visible for you.

During this edit, I noticed something I missed before, I think (unsure, since he didn't report back yet) Please report back and let me know if you do indeed get second advanced and chipset or not. I think there may not be room to easily enable more than one extra menu, if this fails to enable new ADV + Chipset I mean, you might have to pick one or the other of those or I can replace original ADV with new one and then enable chipset. There is a limited amount of space for enabled menu entries in the file that controls this

You will have to unlock BIOS Lock before you can flash this, it's done via grub and here's my guide for doing this. You only need to start at step #6, I've done the rest for you
https://www.win-raid.com/t3908f16-GUIDE-Grub-Setup-Var-Guide-Fix-Intel-FPT-Error-BIOS-Lock-Bit-Set-HSFS-W-Asus-or-Other-Mod-BIOS.html

BIOS Lock variable >> 0x8BE
Rename your .efi file to >> Shell.efi

So at grub prompt you'll type the following >> setup_var 0x8BE 0x0

Once that is done you can flash mod BIOS, the above is already unlocked in this mod BIOS, so if we have to do another round you wont need to unlock that next time.

Here is command to flash once you unlocked BIOS Lock >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregm.bin
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...1199845116

Thanks, that I understand Big Grin Yes, unlocks a lot of hidden settings.
Open your BIOS in AMIBCP 5.02.0031 or 5.02.0023, there you can see all the settings possible, vs what you actually see in the BIOS

Mainly, you get a complete second Advanced section with 100's of settings the normal advanced section does not have, and you get chipset section too with lots of settings.
