hi everyone
it's nice i found you.....

i want to flash my bios so i can change my wifi card.....but it seems that i dont know a thing how to do this....

i donwload my bios update from hp from here http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39862.exe

i extract the files using winrar

then i donwload this one provided from you http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/30CCF58%2...34s282.zip

i unzip it and the one file i found i put it in the extraction folder of the hp bios download.

i run the winphlash64 one small window open with bios flash option....i clicked on it
and nothing!!! a new window open saying < < The input file Bios.wph can not be found. A valid filename must be specified to continue. > >

This is as far is i can go!!!

I think that i must have Vista intalled for it to work....

my current opereting system is XP x64.

any help will be great.

With help from Lauriz ( thank you ) i flashed from dos using a usb.....unfortunately i still get 104 error....

After a long time...but i never stopped trying.....today finally success!!!!


as i wrote above.....but i ll do it one more time to be more clear for everyone else with the same laptop.

i m in win xp x64 enviroment so i download the hp's bios update from their site choosing the vista x64 as my operating system....download and run the file but in the window with options flash bios and exit i exit it.

then i download the file given here 30CCF58 - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/30CCF58%2...34s282.zip you can find it in the HP Disabled Whitelist Mega Thread! and choose the file 30CCF58.

unzip it and rename it to BIOS.WPH then take it and copy it in the C:\SwSetup\SP36774\Winphlash64 is the default unrar directory of the official hp bios you downloaded first.

After the replace run the WinPhlash64 and let it do it job.

for me now a change the broadcom 43xx wifi card with an intel wifi link 4965AGN and it works perfect.


if any admins see this (you can update the HP mega thread as i confirm that the 30CCF58 is working.)

bad news everyone......i tryed an another wifi card with bcm94321mc chip....and it didnt work.....the same stupid message in start up.

so....i still need the white list removal for my laptop.....

if someone is kind enough to tell me what do you need so i can provide the info for the job.

i used andys phoenix tools to <> bios and in the dump dir the BIOSCOD04.ROM file somewhere in there is twice this E4 14 15 43 3C 10 7D 13 so i desided to change these values to this E4 14 15 43 E4 14 B5 04 with a HEX editor....then saved the file but when andys tool recompiles the bios i get an error that the file is 6 bytes bigger.

so guys....i m in the correct path? what the hec i m doing wrong?

Need Whitelist removal on Bios F.58
I have included the original bios in the Post.
I have tried methods on here to add my wifi card to the whitelist and have failed.
They had a modded bios on mydigitllife but that post is gone and I cannot find any good downloads.

Can anyone please help.

Just request a reupload on mydigitallife.
