[REQUEST] Lenovo Flex 2 Pro 15 (A9CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#1
Hi guys,

I am looking to remove the whitelist on my Lenovo flex 2 pro 15.
The current bios version is A9CN42WW.

I tried using backup tools from other thread here:
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...ist-remove
All the versions of FPW program seem to be failing.

Anyway link to results is here
https://www.sendspace.com/file/2rug7x

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

Hi BDMaster,

Its an Intel Core i7-5500 according to device manager.
Universal Bios Backup says "Cant identify bios"

The first appears to be for a emergency bios flash rather than a reader? Do I want to run this?

Thanks for your help.

Thought I would try again. The first link now resolves to Backup_Tools_12 (was a Ideapad Y485 recovery before) and it worked this time.

Hi Sovem,

I used rufus to create a bootable dos usb and copied your files.
Entered lenovo bios using lenovo key to allow legacy boot and moved usb boot priority to start.
Laptop booted to dos.
Flash.bat ran successfully. However laptop now wont start Sad
Keyboard lights up and fans start but no on-screen activity.
Any suggestions for recovery?

Regards

So I'm guessing I'll need a hardware programmer to fix this. I intend to dump the flash rom, verify contents revert the change and re upload.

Any recommendations on a suitable cheap flash programmer? Linux support a bonus.

Anything else I might need?
