Hi there, total nubie on mods for Lenovo,

Have a Lenovo T420 4180-BC7 with the latest BIOS 1.46
Model: 4180-BC7
Current Bios: 1.46 BIOS Version/Date LENOVO 83ET76WW (1.46 ), 7/5/2013

Current WWAN:Intel Wifi Link 5300 AGN

Installing: Intel 7260HWN AC

I've seen a few threads here but not sure what to do....SLIC2.1, UEFI, etc....

so far, i've seen that all that needs to be done is run the modified 83ET76WWbios as Admin, but nor sure what the other SLIC, UEFI, and such are for...

OK, went for it blind to see what happened...as expected mod Bios 83ET76WW (1.46) for Lenovo T420 as found on this site worked fined. Installed card Intel 7260, I had downloaded the drivers previously. System posted without any problems, internet connection ( 5GHZ) at 866mbps. Awesome!
Bluetooh said it was 4.0, my system recognizes only bluetooh 3.0...I dont use bluetooh as often,so 4.0 or 3.0 makes no difference to me. I am very happy to get 866mbps...was getting 270 to 300mbps.
