I have an X79G board with BIOS ID X79GA00O (AMI Aptio IV). I would like to ask if it is technically possible to unlock overclock options, specifically BCLK and/or CPU ratio, in this BIOS.
What I have:
Full original SPI BIOS dump made with CH341A
A modded BIOS made by my friend using Angxun X79-VG3 as reference
Intel ME 8.1 present and working
What I have tested:
Intel Clock Commander loads, but ICC over HECI is blocked
No BCLK or ratio options visible in BIOS setup
I understand that many X79 China boards have hardware and ICC limitations. My main question is whether:
Ratio-based overclocking or strap-related options can be unlocked at BIOS level, or
BCLK/ICC is completely blocked by hardware or ME policy on this board
I am aware of the risks and I have SPI programming equipment available for recovery.
There is original BIOS, modded BIOS and some AMI tools
