no special cautions, just flash as any normal bios update.

what i mean is do i just double click the file after i extract it? do i need a program to flash my bios? i updated a bios on another computer only once in my whole life and that was a while ago so i dont remember what i did. could i use ASUS EZFlash to do it?

pffff, you need to use AFUDOS or AFUWIN utility, download it from manufacturer's page.
also you can flash from asus update (windows utlity program).

ok i will do that. ill reply and let you know how it went

EDIT i went to the asus website and they had a drop down menu for the operating system. it does not list windows 7 64 bit. as far as it goes is vista 64 bit and then "other" so i clicked on the vista one and downloaded it. tried to run afudos, and it said it was not compatible. how do i use the windows utility program?

EDIT i went to google and im downloading ASUS update 7.18.03

EDIT installing the ASUS update program right now
i ran the update utility, rebooted the pc and went into the bios. unfortunately there was all the same options. any other ideas?
