Request - Asus Flow X13 Bios Mod / Charging Rate
#1
Hi everyone. I have recently purchased an Asus GV301 ( Ryzen 9 5980HS / 1650 Max Q / 32gb ram ) and learned after the fact that only the factory Asus charger can charge the laptop at over 65 watts. It uses a USB-C connection to charge the laptop. There's no special charging port on this model, unlike the larger Asus X16 ( which I also own ). I have many USB-C / GaN chargers that are easily capable of 120 watts plus, but the laptop is being limited by something in the firmware.

Would one of you gurus be able to look at the BIOS attached and see if it's something that can be bypassed? I've seen some aftermarket chargers that claim to work, so they have to be tricking the firmware somehow. Even a change from the 65 watt limit to 100 watts would be a tremendous improvement for compatibility as all PD chargers over 100 watts do the required 20V * 5 amps.

Thanks a ton!

PS - I'd be willing to make a donation if required.
