Hi there!

I 've just collect an Asus laptop, model K73SD.
I'd like to upgrade this laptop but BIOS is lock and there are only a few things that a can modify (boot order, virtualization, flash...).

Regarding to the Intel website, motherboard with HM65 Intel chipset are able to run core from the 3rd generation (instead of the i3 2nd generation inside the laptop). It just need a BIOS firmware update.
So I intend to upgrade the CPU and upgrade with an i5 or i7 core from the 3rd generation, but the last BIOS update I found doesn't mention if the 3rd generation support is possible with...

So, could you please help me to know if a 3rd generation core will run on my laptop, and help me to unlock the AMi BIOS ?

I'm attaching the last BIOS update from Asus website.

Ps : To Genius239, I already test your BIOS mod from https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...ios-unlock but I have an error message about the date of this mod when I try to flash it

OK, I've just used Winflash /nodate and flash BIOS with mod from Genius.
Test it and works perfectly ! 

So, there is just a last question...
Will 3rd generation of Intel I Core works on this laptop with this BIOS ?

Hi, with my asus K73SD im using i7 2630qm

or check google, its says that this cpu is 2nd gen and i dont think 3rd will work on this outdated machine.
