Thank you. Do you know if the programmer handles the HOLD pin being set? Inspecting it myself the HOLD pin was tied low, keeping any interactions with the chip from happening.

if you use clip with programmer,just give power to chip by attaching AC adapter but do not power on laptop

I didn't have success with that before, but it could have been a poor connection somewhere. Does the programmer need dedicated AC or can it pull what it needs from USB

SOIC8 clip is last chance to read content of chips without de-soldering.Other operations with bios chip can be made properly using desoding method(

I have programmer + Clip but I'm unable to read the chip. Also the detect method of the programmer isn't working. Never done this before so I have no experience of a successful read.

Pherhaps the clip doesn't fit all pads. Any other ideas? (I have a 900s with 25x40clig bios chip)
