Hi all,

I just wanted to say that I tested this bios on my R700 and it flashed fine and most unlocked features seem to be working ok *except* being able to turn AHCI on.

All the options are now there for enabling AHCI but whenever I save and exit the ICH8M reverts to compatible mode next reboot.

Even If I put SATA into enhanced mode (without enabling AHCI) it still does this.

I really need to get AHCI mode working so this laptop plays nice with the SSD I have installed in it.... could this be an option rom issue, a slightly messed up bios mod or do you think the motherboard is hardware locked to SATA1 in compatible mode?

Cheers.

Biker.
