SLIC 2.1 Request - Motherboard: ASUS P5LD2-X
#1
Could someone please give me some help on modding the latest BIOS (version 0213) for ASUS P5LD2-X motherboard to include SLIC 2.1? Attention: this is not the P5LD2-X/1333 or P5LD2-X/GBL motherboard, but it has a lower FSB (1066 mhz). If 2.1 is not possible, I would like to have the SLP 1.0 mod.

Original BIOS ROM can be found in:

1) ASUS official Download website:

http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=4BnSkzC8IpKQ6OlZ&content=download

or

2) Attached (LD2X0213.zip)

Thanks

Here you go , i used Asus 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Thank you for answering, 1234s282! I was actually in a hurry so I have ended up doing the mod by myself yesterday. For the mod I used amitool132 and chose SSV3 method. I flashed via windows with ASUS Update tool, which you can find in the same download site as said in my first post of this thread. After the flash process, during the reboot, the initial post screen showed "CMOS checksum bad" message. So I pressed F2 to load the default values and I was able to boot and activate with ASUS certificate succesfully. My PC is working much better now with the new O/S! I tried changing some BIOS settings (Setup) just for testing purposes and the CMOS error message never appeared again. In your case, which method did you use to mod? Are there any hidden options we can unlock in this BIOS?

By the way, I am trying to attach the ROM file with no luck. It is taking a long time for the browser to complete the attachment, but in the end there is an error message saying that the file is too large and can't be attached. That does not make sense, once the ROM file has 512k and when I compress it in zip format, it goes to even less (400k). I have tried with different browsers, but the result is the same. I have not exceeded my maximum attachment memory space yet. Any ideas?

Thank you

Every link is dead, so I re-made the modification.
Credits and tested just the same of my previous mod for P5LD2-X/1333.
