[SOLVED] Activate IDE on Lenovo S21e Insyde
#1
Hi there,

i try to get winxp running on the laptop/netbook but it doest work because of the 0x07B errror (cant fint harddisk).
Now i got a biosupdate and looked for the var which stores the Sata-mode. I used phoenix and universal ifr extractor. I found the entry which said 0x39 for satamode and then i tried to change this setting this way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzuuE0tz6bY.
But the option ther at 0x39 is already set at 0x0 which is ide mode.

Now i got confused!
It would be great if someone could help me.

Toby

Yes FAlseClock can be used to do this :

0x22A84 Setting: Chipset SATA Mode, Variable: 0x39 {05 91 16 02 17 02 A9 00 34 12 39 00 10 10 00 02 00}
0x22A95 Option: IDE, Value: 0x0 {09 07 18 02 00 00 00}
0x22A9C Option: AHCI, Value: 0x1 (default) {09 07 19 02 10 00 01}
0x22AA3 Option: RAID, Value: 0x2 {09 07 1A 02 00 00 02}
0x22AAA End of Options {29 02}

setup_var 0x39 0x00

What is falseclock? I used a Bootx64.efi after several bootx gave me a black screen! It now WORKS.... SUCCESS! (at least i get past the 0x07B error;-)

The var has stored 0x01 so its correct from the setting itself. Forget about the videolink!

Bootx64.efi attached ! Gosh i hate these bloody manufactures, i wish i would not be depended on computers! I would have get rid of them probalby!
