Hello there!

I have since long time a Samsung NP700Z5A-S03FR.
As this is not anymore my main laptop, I have decided to "mod" it a little bit (particularly to install macOS) and have found this thread.

So, what are the main benefits to flash this unlock mod BIOS?
I remember that there was some issues with switchable graphics or something else, and by going in the BIOS menu there were very few options...

The first post tell that there is an issue by playing with UEFI settings (can cause laptop brick), is it still relevant or this issue has been solved?

Many thanks in advance!

I don't have experience with macOS so I cannot advise how this bios would be advantageous for that scenario. The greatest benefit of the modified bios is the ability to control the switchable graphics.
The bricking issue is due to more than just toggling UEFI. You really should read the research on the issue if you want to understand. An update about it was posted here  . And yes, it is still a possible issue, samsung never bothered to fix it as far as I know.
