I tried to use Len_IP_S205_4BCN24WW_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe as well and WinFlash crashed at the 2nd step ("Analyze old and new BIOS compatibility"). From the Windows event log:

Faulting application name: WinFlash.exe, version: 1.4.83.0, time stamp: 0x4d245123
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00924020
Faulting process id: 0xf94
Faulting application start time: 0x01cdbe15745277d4
Faulting application path: C:\LENOVOBIOS\WinFlash.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: b84ce7ac-2a08-11e2-b926-f0def1d1698a

Can anyone help? I can provide the WINFLASH.LOG file if necessary. System is a Lenovo Ideapad S205, AMD E-450 APU 1.65GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB Samsung 830 SSD, Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 with all the latest updates. Could this be a simple 32/64 bit driver incompatibility? Many thanks!

Hi, I have the same problem as cheesa, with a Intel Centrino 6235-N. The whitelisted BIOS doesn't work, notebook hangs before booting any OS.

lscpi -nnv output of original card:

Network controller [0280] Ralink corp. RT3090 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe [1814:3090]
Subsystem: Lenovo Device [17aa:f101]

Same problem, hangs before booting OS.
I tried switching the wlan cards at the GRUB prompt, and the Intel card works well, including the wlan switch.
Of course it's useless since I would have to switch cards everytime I shutdown the netbook.

Also, I don't know if it matters, but this card has integrated bluetooth and the original one does not.

lspci -nnv output:
Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 [8086:088e] (rev 24)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235 AGN [8086:4060]

I found the USB IDs of the integrated usb bluetooth and the intel ID:
Original: 0489:e00d
Intel: 8087:07da

Maybe there is a usb whitelist too?

Still hangs before booting OS, tested with pins 36-38 (USB) taped and untaped.
