[split] Acer Aspire 5100 v.3.13 vt help

Hi there.
I am new here.
Just wondered if someone could help???
I am trying to get vmware workstation to work on my aspire 5100 (tl-52)
I install it but when I try to load the os into itit says "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point."
As far as I can tell vt is available on the laptop with this processor, so do I need to update he bios to be able to enable vt to work with he virtual os??
