[split] HP MCP61PM-HM problem
#1
ok i have a hp a6333w
upgraded the proccesser to a AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.0ghz running windows 7 ultimate 64bit
and about a month ago i started having ram issues it would only boot with 2 outta the 4x1gig sticks of ddr2 5300u 555-12 ram so i decided to flash these bios everything went great flashed right booted pc up fine shut down reinstalled the other 2x1gig sticks of ram for a total of 4x1gig it booted and ran fine till yesterday it just shut its self off and upon reboot it will only boot if i have 2 x1 gig sticks of ram in it if i put all 4 in boots to like the second bios screen then shuts off but i can take 2x1gig and put it in any of the 4 ram slots and it works i know its not the ram either cause i tryed all 4 sticks one at a time in each ram slot and they all boot fine but its just when i try to boot with more than 2 gigs in it won't boot no matter what i do i even tryed to go 2x1 gig and 2x512mb all together and no boot and i can put the 2x512mb sticks in in any of the four ram slots and it boots its kinda wierd and i reflashed the modded bios thinking that somehow they got corupt and same thing won't boot with more than 2x1gig sticks in it at once i even pulled the battery and swaped the jumper to 2,3 and cleard everything and same result can only get it to boot with 2x1gig sticks in any help would be awsome thanks in advance
oh i even did a fresh vista and windows 7 install on a 500 gig harddrive i had here and it didn't even fix it

Hi krazyone,

Which BIOS are you now on, and fo now I recommend leaving one RAM stick in the slot closest to your CPU socket. Did you use the modded BIOS on our site or are yu using an HP BIOS?

Thanks,
TheWiz
