UEFI - required to install STEAM OS beta! I tried to install it on my laptop.
Booting from a usb-flash drive (UEFI) is successful, the system is installed. But after a reboot will not boot from the HDD, standart error - Boot device not found, it seems as if there is no OS. If you press F12 then the UEFI devices only installation flash drive, HDD does not appear as UEFI.
Do you think this is a problem BIOS or OS?
OS doesnt add itself as a boot entry. You can do that yourself using shell and 'bcfg boot add' command.

Hey, thanks for this, but I fucked up and disabled the integrated graphics and now my screen is black-out and I can't even go into bios (i can but I don't see anything) so
Could you please make a 'map' so I can blindly set my settings to enabling it again ? Like where I can see which menu point is reachable with what button combination ? Thanks , best regards
Hey guys! Please I need a working modded bios for my Acer Aspire 5755G

I have tried everything possible but to no avail. Trying to fix the over heating issue. My CPU heats up too much. I have cleaned out the air vents, i have replaced thermal paste. I have sat it on top of a cooler pad with 2 large fans. But still no avail. Even FIFA14 lags alot. On Idle, temps stay at over 65 degrees which is not good.

Now I hear that a modded BIOS can help me tweak my fan speed and make it roll to 100% as I know it only works at about 50% now, it rotates alot faster when coming on.

Anyways, I just want a tested an trusted BIOS and possible configurations as I am scared to just flash just about any bios. Thanks
somebody please pleeeaaase help me, i had installed many bios updates before here going from the unlocked 1.19 till the latest 1.21 unlocked with intel hd3000 vbios :

, these are now installed on my acer 5755G
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/attachment.php?aid=4912 and they were working great.

now by accident i set the ram freq to 1066 mhz, and ever since i'm unable to get anything on my screen whatsoever, i guess because the ram sticks inside are 676 mhz, how can i fix this ? I've been looking trough pages and pages for two days now, the default way of recovery doesn't seem to work anymore :

follow this step to recover your BIOS:
1- copy " P5WE0x64.fd" into your USB Pen
2- turn off your computer
3- unplug AC adapter and remove the battery for a few seconds
4- insert USB Pen
5- plug AC Adapter and battey
6- turn on your PC and immediately press fn + esc
7- Now wait PC finish
8- restart

I used this on a usb stick made to free DOS by unetbook
i've also used the fn+esc in this method, and i used the PWEOx64.fd from this pack P5WE0121_vBIOS_2158, wich can be found here :
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-ac...ked?page=8

I have removed the cmos battery , shorted the jumpers n all, tried above method again, still nothing

I'm way out of my debt guys , i don't know if it has anything to do with the included intel vbios or anything, i need help on all fronts now, i have too many questions and i don't know where to start.

I guess i need a step plan on what to do , wich flash should i use (cause it seems insyde is the least supported of all ?) i guess i'll need to write some autoexec files and all, i need to create a bootable usb disk wich from then on takes care of things cause i have to do this totally blind. Please help

1GB Nvidia GT 540M (Came default as 672MHz core and 800MHz memory instead of 900MHz memory)

on acer 5749 70° it's normal
I don't think 70 degrees is normal for idle state of any laptop.
