Yeah it was probably because I enabled RAID in the bios. Ill fix it so you can reflash.

UPDATE: Here's the one with RAID disabled: Just flash like you id last time

its fine man

and thanks man seriously thanks a million if you need anything just tell me

dude i wrote exactly what it says

here is what it says when i press the F2 key to get into the BIOS settings

"Media Shield ROM BIOS 6.33"
"2005 NVIDIA Corp."
"Detecting Array"

it still does that
so idk

did you put the wrong upload link and link to the first mod that did that or is that the right link but it still dosent work well

Well, I could take the ROM module out completly, or I could restart the mod from scratch. Also, because someadditional stuff is enabled the bios key might be different? Trty F10 esc and other things besides F2 see what you get. Have you ever let it wait and see if it skips that message.

TheWiz

Also, if you do have something SATA lyin around, id plug it in see what happens

the longest ive ever waited is about 2 minutes becasue im impatient but ill let it run like that for at least 15 minutes

and ill try your other keys idea with the delete and f keys

il report back in about half an hour

sadly i dont have anything sata it supports sata but is an emachine so the went with the cheapest options available

well i let it scan for 15 minutes but the interesting think is that when i botted into windwos it had to reapir the installation

basically the scanning somehow removed the boot sector

yeah please remove this raid becaseu the latest evidence proves taht that is what is wrong

thanks and have a great day

*edit* hey guys sorry I've been MIA from this thread. I am not using RAID so I will not need that feature at this moment either, and if I do I will probably just purchase a pci-e raid card for the pci-e 1x slot on this guy. I am using a Crucial M225 64GB SSD and a 500gig samsung hdd. Do you recommend that I wait for this next build marcusj? The Wiz thanks for this, I will donate what I can to your fund cause i this is a great resource for me

Hi patsurfs

Interestingly i havwe a more up to date version of the RAID rom available to use. The modded bios from TheWiz used Mediashield v6.33. I have an image of Mediashield v10.0.0.34 that i extracted out of a more modern bios.

Therefore , you have 2 choices. Would you like me to try a mod using the more up to date RAID , or remove the RAID rom completely?

Regards
Admin
