Definately Windows 7 - Vista is a complete resource hog and therefore runs slower. Windows 7 gives much smoother response and greater performance

Thsi is an old thread, but will stick my nose in here anyway. I am dual booting both. Gives me a chance to try stuff in both. I was anti Vista until I started running it and ended up liking it. That having been said, it is a bit resource heavy and thus is a bit slower. Also, the UAC can get a bit intrusive and be an overall nuisance. Windows 7 is much lighter and is very responsive. It is a very good OS, and if you have the choice, skip Vista. I have both installed ( and XP MCE 2005 on my other desktop ) and do so for comparison purposes. Also, I am a moderator on another board, and it is helpful if some one comes in with a question on Vista. There are a lot of stalwarts hanging in with XP, but unlike Vista, I don't think they'll be unhappy with Windows 7 after they have had some time with it.

Cooler Master 912 HAF Case, ASUS P8Z68-VPro MOBO, Intel i7 2600k OC'd to 4.4 GHz, 8 Gb of GSkill Ripjaws Series X 1600 Mhz ram, Samsung Optical drive, WD 1TB Caviar Black 6.0 Hdd, WD 1 TB Caviar Black 3.0 Hdd, Samsung 256 Gb SSD, EVGA Nvidia GTX 560Ti 1 Gb Video Card, Corsair AX850 PSU

I chose Window 7. Microsoft Window 7 has many advantages, making it a more stady and safe operating system than Window XP and Vista. Window 7 Provide amazing speed.
