Hi,

I'd like some help in modding my T430 BIOS/UEFI Firmware to accept an Intel7260HMW Dual-Band AC Wifi card.
Just whitelisting one PCI-ID will do...

I have dumped my Bios via SOIC-Clip, but am unable to continue.

The T430 has currently the following bios:
Code:
description: Notebook
   product: 2349SVA (LENOVO_MT_2349)
   vendor: LENOVO
   version: ThinkPad T430
description: BIOS
   vendor: LENOVO
   version: G1ETB1WW (2.71 )
   date: 08/08/2016
I'll take this or any newer version...

Thank you.

Hi! I have a T430 with the Nvidia GPU which I also use an eGPU for, running on bios version 2.71, which appears to be the latest one. I am currently looking to install the ericsson f5521gw WWAN card that came with my x230T. I am amazed at the fact that the WWAN card from a thinkpad of the same generation is not whitelisted on the T430. Whitelisting does truly suck. Anyway, I would love some help with flashing a modified bios to disable the WWAN and WLAN whitelist on my T430. I already have a bus pirate SPI flasher, which I have used in the past to revive my T420 when the bios got corrupted, but I have no idea how to actually mod the bios files myself. I would also like other mods if possible, to save me having to flash again in the future, namely the advanced bios options enabled, disabling the 3rd party battery check and any other improvements that are available, such as support for faster ram, eGPU tweaks, etc.

Anyway, I know that I am asking for a lot, and I would be happy with just the whitelist, but if someone could provide me with the truly ultimate modded bios for the T430, I am happy to buy him a beer or a few via donation.

Also, do I need to dump the BIOS with the programmer or is it enough to dump it via software?

Thanks a lot, everyone

Hi again. I have dumped my T430 bios with hardware programmer.

Again, the more mods you can do(whitelist removal, advanced menu unlock, faster ram support, support for 3rd party batteries, etc), the better. Anyway, the whitelist removal is the only mod that I really need, so any help is hugely appreciated :Big Grin  Thank you very much
