I can mod this bios to remove WLAN\WWAN check, but the mod can be flashed with HW programmer only. (T430, T530, X230 same ...)

Hi Sovem,
I'm also using X230T.
According to your specifications,is there two ways to update the bios?One is to use the software and another is the HW programmer?
Or only using the programmer?
Or just because the version of bios?Lower bios can be updated with software and higher bios don't?
I'm looking forward to getting your help.  Blush
Best regards.

One question about flashing X230T bios:
Both software and HW-programmer can flash files into bios chip?Or just the programmer?Or just because of the version of bios?
Lower bios can use two methods to flash and higher bios can only use programmer?
That's really essencial to me.After all,you're the bios-mod-god. Big Grin

Intel FPT is the lonly tool able to reflash Bios on Chip, but when Eeprom Chip
is Write protect (error 280, etc.) only SPI Programmer can write into Chip !
The Firmware is composed by many chunks and Bios Region is only a part,
now the Eeprom Chips are :

--- Flash Devices Found ---
MX25L6405D ID:0xC22017 Size: 8192KB (65536Kb)
MX25L3205D ID:0xC22016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)

Bios Region is 2nd one !

Hi BDMaster,
Finally I repaired X230T myself.Now the touchscreen and pen work well.
Recently I found the ID-replacement-method on bios-mods.com.I found the old card's ID in rom file and replaced it with new cards'.But both the UEFI WinFlash and WINUPTP can't flash new bios.
winflash.exe /sd /sv $01DA000.fl1        and
winuptp.exe -s
winflash shows 'security mechanism not supported please get correct capsule'.

winuptp's log as follows:
[2015/4/10 16:29:3]

OS = Windows 7 64bit
Driver Loading....Done
System BIOS Version -> GCET97WW
Applying BIOS Version -> GCET97WW
AC adapter/Battery check....OK.

BIOS Flashing....
The number of retries of BIOS update = 1
The number of retries of BIOS update = 2
The number of retries of BIOS update = 3Failed.
Error : Failed to verify Secure Flash image.

 Error code = 234
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I modified the same version of current bios(2.57).The new card is Broadcom BCM94352 dual-band 802.11ac with BT4.0.So the id of BT module must also be set in the new bios file.
I just replace IDs of Intel 6205 and 6250 with new card's two IDs.
But the bios image can't be flashed.
I'm looking forward to get your powerful help. Smile
Best regards.
