[REQUEST] Lenovo Y50-70 (9ECNxxWW) BIOS Unlock
We will flash Bios Mod v.2.00 over v.1.13 or 1.14 to Unlock Eeprom Chip so
You will get the EC Code v1.14 and Bios Code v.2.00 but doesn't matter !
So Downgrade before use Bios Mod v.3.03 . . .

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

nop

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working !

Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

Let me know
Regards

P.S. look here to understand Wink

So I have sleep mode turned off on the laptop. When I close the lid it remains on while I use my other connected monitor through HDMI.
When I close the lid and the laptop remains on it enforces some power saving requirements.
After some research I found that in order to turn this off I would need to edit some serious stuff that could brick my laptop.
Do you have any idea on how to fix it in order to be closed but running at normal 100% efficiency?
I have a feeling it may settings or something in my BIOS. I will wait for a response before flashing these new BIOS.
I really appreciate it man, also I intend to send something your way.

using DOS Pure env. and prr.exe !
Then We will check about your issue . . .

So I flashed the file you sent me. Do I need to reflash back like above? What are those programs and where can I find them?
Also currently Nvidia Inspector wont let me increase my rates any higher than before I flashed the BIOS you sent. Thanks.

So now It's all ok or You get Problems yet ?
I sent to You a Bios Mod and It contains all these programs !
You have just to go into DOS pure env, booting from USB and
execute flash.bat !
That's It !
