download link

preparation

* get a working PC with internet and cd burner, burning software to burn ISO file and a emty cdrom.
* download this file , extract it from the RAR archive, then burn the ISO to a CD.
* put the CDrom at the bricked dell n7110 optical drive and turn the machine off.

procedure.

1- turn off your bricked dell n7110 laptop and put the recovery cdrom inside the optical drive.
2- unplug the power cord, and press End button.
3- plug the power cable, and then you relase the End button fast. (the machine should start automatically without push the power button)
4- the bios start reading the cdrom, it load BIOS.cap file from the cdrom.
5- you have to hit F12 fast when the dell splash screen is at the screen, it will bring the device boot menu, then select cdrom. (if you didnt hit f12 in time, you will have to power off the machine and repeat the whole procedure again)
6- bartpe - windows xp will start being loaded.
7- when you are at the main screen, click NO on the network message box. then click the GO button and click "Command Prompt(CMD)" open a cmd prompt. and type "repair" without the quotes, that will launch my main script (Dont close the CMD window, it still needed to reboot the system.)
8- follow the script instructions, it is a little modified script from my main custom bioses.
9- since the automatic reboot didnt worked for the winflash in that boot cd, my script will do it, just wait after the winflash window is closed and the system will autorestart.
10- black screen for some seconds and the flashing screen will appear , if the flashing procedure ends correctly, your BIOS should be working back ^^ (this recovery method installs A13 stock BIOS)preparation

Thanks so much. You files worked for me. I can now boot from USB. Your a life saver!

You are welcome!

Hello Ataigun

I am very happy with your Modified Bios.

Thanks to your Modified Bios I installed it on my laptop

Mac OS system.

I have a friend who owns a Sony Vaio laptop that has not been modified

However, in bios menu settings, the Nvidia graphics card was enabled

Geforce and graphics card in his laptop was factory disabled.

By this ability a friend in his laptop has the opportunity to use the card

Nvidia Geforce graphics system in Mac OS.

You are a capable man who understands well

To modify the bios for Dell Inspirion N7110 laptops

BIOS for Dell Inspirion N7110 Laptop where the default card will be frozen

Graphics intelle HD 3000 a will launch graphics card Nvidia Geforce GT 525 M.

Tell me what files do you need as a base

To create such a modded bios I will try to insert these files

From Sony Vaio laptop from my buddy on forum.

For the successful creation of your Authorized Mod I want to pay.

However, I would like to first test on you.

I am open to talk to you on the forum I greet you.

Probably it is this laptop model

Sony Vaio VPC-EH1Z1E / B

A friend who had this laptop already did not have it because he sold it.

As for my inspirion n7110 I have such info that the Nvidia graphics card

GeForce 525M is probably the graphics accelerator I have

Info from this colleague who sold Sony Vaio.

He in his Sony had already locked in the original BIOS chip Intel graphics card

The HD 3000 and the Nvidia Geforce 410 M.

Buddy remembers that in this Sony was a processor family of i5 chips.

Here is a link to Sony Vaio with i5 and this Nvidia 410 M> http://www.notebookcheck.net/Sony-Vaio-V...780.0.html

As in this bios, I have to set the menu to have two same GoodRam drives in the Boot menu> the Hard Drive tab expanding + were marked as two GOODRAM drives. I currently have two disks on my GoodRam Iridium Pro 240 GB SSD laptop and Bios sees one disk in this tab. I need a setting to select the disks from which the first system is to be the first to boot. I am asking for advice. Two GoodRam drives are seen in the HDD Configuration tab. One in serial port ATA port 0 second in serial ATA port.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DOWNLOAD LINK

FAT32 formated usb flash drive and copy "BIOS.cap" file at the root
extract BIOS.cap from archive

To run BIOS.cap from usb flash drive:
1 - laptop turned off
2 - unpluged the AC
3 - connect flash drive to this usb port:

4 - hold END key
5 - pluged the AC and relase the END key 1 second after the power cord is in.
6 - Fans started to spin fast, power led blinked fast, and the usb too.
7 - Repeatedly press F2 key to enter bios setup, and see unlocked options.
8 - If you like bios, flash the bios to laptop, with "DELL_N7110_A13_UNLOCKED.exe" from https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-B...8#pid86348

Somehow, i could not get that working at all, are you supposed to hit the power button in between one of those steps?

@ataigun: Have you found a solution for that Fn+F2 stutter problem?

I wanted to gain performance in reducing windows boot times via UEFI, it's about 4 times faster than standard boot using legacy boot via MBR. But somwhow, still wanted to have that QuickSet Application installed.

I would do a clean install of Windows 10, so there might be a chance that with the A05 Version it'll work? In another Thread there was an Install Guide with a specific order in how to install the drivers but unfortunately, i cannot find it again.

Alternative would be to use modded BIOS with enabled UEFI but on the downside can no longer use the FN' Keys nore the other 3 Keys above the keyboard (like disable display) anymore?

Any advise appreciated.
