I hope it is correct like I did it in the picture below. Is there any sort of backup in case something goes wrong? I don't have another PC here, so I'd like to copy a backup BIOS to my bootable USB stick before I do this
I'll do the flash once you confirmed my steps Thanks again
I've got a Lenovo Z40-70 (I think it uses the same BIOS as Z50), having the same "Error 280" problem. I'm looking to get an unlocked version of 9bcn31ww, with all available tabs. I've run the backup tools with various BIOS versions to see if any can get around the Write Protect.
Would it be safe for me to flash the Lenovo_Z40-70-Z50-70_9BCN26WW_NWL_ADV_OdlG as you described, or are the edits specific to the dumps provided?

Hey there, I the bios flash was successful and I went to have a look at the new options. Now I disabled the igpu, as that was an option because I often have troubles with the switching between the GPUs. But of course, I was flying too high and the screen stays black. How can I do a bios reset? Hotkeys or maybe a jumper on the main board?

try to reset CMOS removing the Battery on MoBo !
Boot without Battery and then load the Default Settings then save and shutdown !
Mount again the Battery on MoBo and switchon again !

Hm, the battery is unremovable. Plus and minus are glued or so to the battery. Any other idea? I don't know how long the battery would last if I just left it like this. Then I could just let it sit until the battery is dead
Removing DC and holding down the power button for about two minutes didn't help. There should be something on the main board like pins that have to be connected... No idea :/
There two guys habe the same problem. One solves it by pressing power button many times until the CMOS would be cleared. Another option is to blindly enable the igpu in bios again. Unfortunately I don't know the steps, could someone please tell me how to go to integrated graphics options, enable it and then exit and save?
After going into bios blindly and pressing F9, enter, F10, enter, the laptop rebooted and worked. I then went into bios to make sure everything is set properly and the igpu wouldn't be disabled. Now it won't start anymore, the num lock isn't blinking anymore and the trick doesn't work, pc won't reboot -.-

Worked awesome, thanks! (I sent you a little something too)
Is it possible to get SLIC working in it also?
I've been trying to figure out how to do this all on my own, but can't find any good tutorials. SLIC ToolKit says my key is still there, but the marker, ID, and cert are missing. (came orig with win8, though I'm using win7 now)
HD : MBR mode, some people say UEFI + GPT mode marking will unsuccessful !
So this Tool can be used under Win7 (MBR mode HD) !
Open a Command Promot with Admin Rights and execute this comand :
FLASH32.BAT
(or FLASH64 for x64), when finish then restart machine !
P.S. after applying the SLP then make a result file and uload here !

May I ask for another hint, please?
I'm still stuck with the pc not booting. I removed the minus pole from the battery, pressed the power button for a minute, started the pc (still same problem), turned it off, connected minus pole again, pc still has the same problem.
What am I doing wrong. No setting in the bios should cause a hardware failure so I don't want to give up the idea of resetting the bios to default through lack of electricity
Edit: Notebook was repaired for free by Lenovo (/Medion). I won't take any risks anymore. Thank you so much!
