[REQUEST] Fujitsu celcius R920
#1
Hello,

I have a small request as own attempts where not sucsesfull. I need removal of the cpu whitelist or the E5-2667v2 included in the whitelist of an fujitsu R920.
Revision of the mainboard is D3118A1
Known is that Revision of the mainboard D3118A2 (used in celcius R930) supports the E5-2667v2.

Both bioses including the flash versions are on the support site of fujitsu:
They can be found under: Support > Computing Products > Client Computing Devices > Workstations > Celcius > Celcius R series and then you can find the R920 and the R930.

The flash version can be opened withy phoenixtool

My own attempt to find the whitelist failed due to lack of knowledge, If you can send me a tutorial it is also fine with me, any help is welcome. In the end I hope to figure out how to do it myself

Thanks in advance,

Don

D3118-A1x is based on C602 chipset and D3118-A2x is based on C602J chipset.
Only second chipset supports Ivy Bridge core. So you can't run Xeon E5-2667 v2 in your Fujitsu CELSIUS R920.

Use this tool run It as Admin and upload here the result file :

Use AIDA64 tool too (cracked version to get FULL REPORT) and upload a Report too

let me know
Regards

This Bios is an AMI Aptio so you can use this Tutorial and Guide to Unlock and Modify :

Here is the last AMIBCP version 4.55 :

Here is a Tutorial to modify AMI Aptio Bios :

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...MSR-unlock!

Follow CodeRush Suggestions :

It's certanly not so easy for BIOSes with another menu setup, but the whole idea is the same.
I could also recommend trying AMIBCP to modify menu entries vilibility from "Default" to "USER",
if your menu setup is more complex then a setup above.

I have to flash my image on the administrator commandline using afuwinx64 bios_mod.rom /GAN . . .
Otherwise it gives me a security error (Thanks again CodeRush)

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...EFI-Aptio4

Then to replace some parts to render It compatible It needs to check FITC and Intel Limit HW !
Here is your Bios Unpacked and loadable for AMIBcp - MMTool - PMT - UEFITool !

Can you confirm this?

It could be very possible that the r920 is based on the basic c602 chipset and the r930 motherboard on the c602j however I can not find any info that would lead to confirmation that that is true, However I could find a source claiming that the c602 only can have one sas port (4 sata ports) while my motherboard has 2. I do however not trust this source...

Show a screenshot of CPU-Z with tab Motherboard.
Look at this
Quote:[ Storage controllers / Intel® C600 Series Chipset SAS RAID (SATA mode) ]
...
Hardware Identificatie PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D6B&SUBSYS_11B61734&REV_05
...
and read specification of C600 Series chipset.
C602 have SCU Device ID=1D6Bh and C604/C602J have SCU Device ID=1D69h.
So you have C602.
