[REQUEST] Yoga 2 Pro with an EMPTY Me region
#1
Hello everyone.
I have a very, very strange problem. After windows 10 updates and bios update using Lenovo Utility from Windows my ME region of bios seems to be damaged. As others, i have 30-minutes shutdown problem. The laptop works exactly 30 minutes and then shutdowns without any notification.
So now i am trying to get Yoga 2 Pro bios with an empty ME region to reflash it.

My backup (i made it from DOS using FTKtools) is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1854047/BACKUP.BIN
The tool detected chipset as Mobile Premium Express.

Am i right that i have to reflash new bios with the blank ME area using the hardware programmer?

Thanks.

You have a Firmware Unlocked Wink
So You wrote It using an SPI PGM after unlocked Descriptor !
The switch off after 30 min is caused by ITT = Anti-Theft Technology . . .
It's present into ME Region and it protects some things by Intel reserved like CPU Update etc. !
You can use FiTC to examine your Firmware and this Protection si done by HW so not eliminable.
I don't know what You have done and how but You have a serious issue Wink
You can replace ME using SPI PGM (or Intel Tool for ME as your ME Region is unlocked),
but I don't think it will solve your issue as if Me has got a single byte wrong your laptop didn't
boot noway . . . there are checksum actived on It !

So you think that i can do nothing with this thing?
The FiTC utility shows me that anti-theft technology is disabled.

I haven`t done anything - just updated the BIOS using lenovo utility.
On other forums i saw posts that people just replaced ME regions and then everything worked wel.

Ok mate,
Here You go (Descriptor - ME Original to use by FPT) :

Here You go (your Firmware Rebuilded to use by SPI PGM) :

Thank you. Should i write the me_region first? Or the first one should be the descriptor area?
