[Request] Bios unlocked, asus z170-p
#1
I use the asus z170-p motherboard, i7 es 6400t cpu.

The latest BIOS does not support the i7 es 6400t cpu.

BIOS that supports i7 es 6400t cpu is bios of 2016/06(2003.rom).

Im hoping someone will be able to help me unlock this bios,

and ideally give it as many featured as possible,

and would be greatly appreciated!

Ive attached the bios file to this post.

Thank you to anyone who can help.

1. Make usb memory bootable with rufus-2.12p.exe.
2. Copy 2003.rom, AFUDOS.exe.
3. Reboot into usb memory
4. AFUDOS.exe 2003.rom / gan "Enter"
5. If you wait, finish

Flash programmer, I meant hardware (Like CH341A or other flash programmer), and if BIOS is soldered in, not in a socket you would need SOIC8 test clip cable. These aren't needed, but are cheap and good to have for recovery and or easier flashing. And if you have to downgrade Intel ME FW version this makes it a lot easier.

AFUDOS with or without GAN may only "Appear" to be flashing your BIOS, I doubt it is, especially since this is modern Z170 board. To flash mod BIOS on this board you need to use USB Flashback, or Intel FPT (After some setting change in grub with Setup_var, to unlock BIOS Lock)

I compared the BIOS 2003 and 3805, 3805 has updated microcode 506E3 and much newer Intel ME. We can try putting back old microcodes only first, that is an easy flash via flashback, to put back old ME you will need to make some other BIOS edits in order to flash ME. I can put those changes into the BIOS with the microcode edit, then if you need ME changed still, BIOS will be ready/unlocked to be able to try and backflash ME (But you may need flash programmer, since you are needing to go backwards against ME security lock version blocks) AFU/AFU w/Gan will not update/backflash ME region, and I suspect does not even flash BIOS on this board at all.

Oh ... I have CH341A.
I also have an unused BIOS chip.

I do not speak English well.,

Good you have programmer, then no problem if we need to try old Intel ME!  You're English is fine Smile

Here is both BIOS for you to try, microcode only one you can flash via USB Flashback if you want, +ME one you will need to program (Easiest way, but can be flashed if no programmer, with additional changes before this BIOS - for anyone reading/using later)  This BIOS also has HPET and SPD write settings exposed from previous mod I did for someone (@ Advanced >> PCH Configuration)
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...6029375566

Test microcode only one first, then if no luck do Microcode + ME one via programmer.  If you do the one with ME change, after programming and putting chip back in, remove CMOS battery, and unplug power supply 24/8 pin cables.  Then press and hold power on button or short power on pins for 10-15 seconds and clear CMOS for 10-15 seconds, then let sit without power for 1+ minute.  Then put all battery/power back and startup system.  This is to reset ME State via 1+ minute total power drain.

Please wait!!  Do not use programmer for these BIOS, if you do you will loose serial, UUID, DTS keys, LAN MAC ID etc.  Please send me a verified and valid backup dump from your programmer, then I will redo the ME mod that requires flash programming.  You can go ahead with the microcode only test BIOS, if you flash it in via flashback only, do not use FPT or Programmer to put on either BIOS, you will loose all system specific details.  Sorry I forgot about this until I did the BIOS already, please send me a dump to use from BIOS 3085 flashed to your board

Thank you for uploading the material first.

CH341A replaced the BIOS and tried rebooting.
I tried it several ways for several days.
The conclusion does not work.
I decided to use 2003 BIOS.

Thank~~~~~~.

This may be due to no second large NVRAM volume, when programming from stock BIOS updates this will be missing.
Please upload a backup dump from 3805 BIOS flashed in, if you want me to try again. But yes, in the end, they may have blocked certain CP's somewhere in list/check on the latest BIOS
