[Req] LenovoIPS300 Bios unlock ram limit
#1
Hi there, i have these hw configurations :

BIOS : 6DCN92WW(V8.06) SMBIOS Ver. 2.7 (already modded for WIFI Whitelist) (Bios attached to the thread) (Extracted with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0)
CPU : i5-3337U, which supports up to 32GB Ram in intel specs
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/it/it/...0-ghz.html
MB Noth Bridge Chipset : Intel Ivy Bridge-MB IMC, which supports up to 16GB Ram in Aida64 specs (file attached at the thread)

Now i have installed

RAM : Ramaxel Technology DDR3 SO-DIMM 4096MBytes (4GB) PC3-12800 (set at freq 800 MHz) 204PIN
http://www.ramaxel.com/product/DOWN/book...W-1600.pdf

and i want to install

RAM : V7 DDR3 PC3-12800 204PIN 1.35V CL11
http://www.v7world.com/us/products/repla...bs-lv.html

when i plug it into the mobo, the pc doesn't start.

Any tips?

Hi!
Any 16 GB DDR3 RAM modules can't work with your Ivy Bridge CPU. It's hardware limitation.

Instead, an 8GB module should work?
