Bug
Hello everyone !
I have some troubles with my old Laptop Satellite L300 bios is I am running Core 2 Duo T9300 with 800mhz without troubles but DDR2 memory speed is Limited to 667mhz default installed memory is 2x2GB Dual 400Mhz Hynix 6400s they running at 333mhz both and and don't know why. Some friends tellin me that the bios must be moded also there is sayin supported cache is 3MB but T9300 has 6MB
Can I change the bios to Phoenix if I do which one to choose and is that going to help with my solution?

Hello,

I have a toshiba L300-24L laptop.
I would like to be able to access all configuration in my bios, and looking at the picture you can see I'm far from it.

Especially, I would like to tune the memory frequency and CPU  configuration.

Would you be able to unlock my bios please ?

URL for the bios : https://support.dynabook.com/support/vie...Id=2619455

On this thread, there is a link to L305 bios : https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-T...500M-VBIOS but I don't know if it's secured, neither on which bios it was based on. (I need 2.20 in order for linux to work properly)

Actually, I have also tried to edit my bios using uefi tool, but it's quite far from my usual programming knowledge and I couldn't manage to find the begining of something.

Best regards,
Pierre

PS : creating new thread or publishing a full reply doesn't seem to work

Hello,

I tried this morning the L305 bios.
It's working.
Except my fan running lower than usual (and turning down sometime), I don't see any major impact.

I can see more menu in the BIOS, but nothing regarding memory frequency.

Is there anything else to enable ?

Best regards,
Pierre

l300-2e5 satelitte pro pslb9e-060007en, upgraded t9900 cpu, 1920x1200 lcd with dual channel cable, ssd and 8gb ram.

Runs fine, cpu performs as expected when bench marked but video is choppy compared to my other gm45 satellite with p9700 slightly earlier revision board but uses same bios and chipset.

ram makes no difference 4gb/8gb in either system with identical ssd and boot image.

There are no option within the display section of bios to change dedicated vram/dvmt also i'm not entirely sure whether the vbios and the microcode for this cpu would be upto date being a 2009 bios.

would it be possible for someone to check for/ add the dvmt menu (and any other hidden menu) update vbios/microcode and possible do the dual ida mod (not sure what is envolved but it worked on a previous hp laptop i had years ago) and add the speedstep-iest on/off menu

iirc the below bios is what i have installed currently

edit:for some reason bios not uploading

The only source online currently is to use the below address in the wayback machine, not for exact model number but the l300-2e5 support page seems to be vanished from the net but it does support slb8xx and slb9xx models and is listed as compatible with my mobo revision in several places online
