[Removed] need help on g62-b62SG
#1
Hello from germany to all of you ,
sorry for my bad english , but i wanted to ask you for wlan whitelist remove on my notebook bios....
as i already read , bios F.46 can`t be modded and F.35 A either . on hp`s homepage exists an older version of the bios which is F.37 . can this be modded or the bios F.32 . F.32 is my current bios on this notebook ( as i saw it should be for amd processor but i have an intel core i3 one Dodgy wtf??) . i`d be so thankful for any advice . here are my facts on the notebook .
-Manufacturer : HP
-Poductnumber : XR522EA#ABD
-Model: HP g62-b62SG Notebook PC
-BIOS Type: insyde???
-BIOS Revision: now actually F.32 (intel)
-BIOS Download Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46073.exe
my old card is a broadcom 4313
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_145C103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_145C103C
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_0280

if there is anything more you need to know , please just tell me ...
if you need the id`s for the new card , i will test the powered up switch
whatever happens techniqueBig Grin
hoping so much for any help...

hello TTAV134 ,
thank you for your reply so quick .
i searched for this bios now on hp.com and not on hp.de . here is what i found .
do you think this is the right bios ?
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec...sp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=4078809&swItem=ob-90209-1&prodNameId=4146768&swEnvOID=4062&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=2
i really don`t know exactly , because the the date on the page says
10.dec.2010 and my regeditor says my version of the f.32 is from 08/02/2010
i really dont know , because this bios seems to be for another product number.
maybe i should learn to live with this old broadcom card , but i want to change the card so bad Sad
thank you for your patience
oliver

WOW!! Thanks so much for your reply.
right now i only got one question more : how risky is it to test ?
is there any chance to reflash the bios if it doesn`t work ?
i`m only a carpenter so please explain it to me like i`m 5 years old AngelBlush
the notebook was a gift from my wife and she can get really mad , if you know what i mean Big Grin
