Asus Rampage III Extreme 1601 sindersMod! (TRIM in RAID0 support for R3E)
#21
I haven't done any intensive testing on my system with my configuration.

I use AS SSD Benchmark and ran a few benchmark tests with the RST 11.2.0.1006
drivers and the performance scores are around about the same for me as I was
geting with the RST 11.1.0.1006 drivers.

Here is a AS SSD Benchmark performance screenshot of my 2x256GB C300's in
RAID0 on the Intel SATA II controller and using the RST 11.2.0.1006 drivers.

Obviously it's best to use the Intel SATA II controller that our board has with SSD
drives in RAID0 because the Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller can't handle the
bandwidth when in RAID0 and you actually get a lot slower performance.

I have seen my performance scores a bit better than this when
there is less data on the drive because the more free space
you have on your SSD, the faster it is.

I bet if I where to upgrade my system, new board with a proper
Intel SATA III 6Gb/s controller, I would probably see even higher
performance scores than this with the same SSDs in RAID0.

I have my SSD RAID0 configured with two partitions.

First Boot Windows partition: 100GB and a second partition: 376GB.

the previous RST releases whilst some people are finding them faster for them.

I have the RST 11.2.0.1006 driver release installed on my Windows 7 and they seem
to perform just as good as the previous releases.

I have my Windows 7 configured in RAID0 with a pair of Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB drives.

Hey thanks sinders for the new bios. Quick question, do you have the files necessary for Marvell bios 1.0.0.1033? Does 1033 have some bugs? Or is 1029 just better? Thanks again...

EDIT: Actually I should just ask if its safe to downgrade, or will the flashing process detect the newer orom and skip the Marvel update? lol
