[REQUEST] Acer Aspire V3-571(G) BIOS Unlock
(02-23-2014, 04:18 PM)zdziebek77xd Wrote: I have a laptop whats the topic with the BIOS 2.22. Originally he was with the BIOS 1.X (without windows 8), but I found some who picked up the bios versions 2.xx. There is the possibility obniezenia version and / or unlock the advanced menu options?

Acer Aspire V3-571G bios v. 2.2
If I understood do You want to upgrade your bios from 1.x (FreeDos) to 2.x (UEFI Win8) and get Menu Tabs Unlocked too ?
I am right ?
I have done mod for 2.21 and worked :
http://rghost.net/52628222

You have to download it then unpack it and You will find a folder with 2 files into.
Use USBImage.exe It will clone the USB Image file USBimg32.ima on an real USB stick that You have and It will be just Dos Formatted and contining VA70HWX64.fd.
So You don't nave to do nothing only clone Image on real USB, then Use the Recovery Method :

1 Shudown pc
2 Unplug Power cable
3 Connect USB stick in 2.0 version Port
4 Press and take FN+Esc Keys and not release
5 Plug Power cable and switch on button
6 When led and fan are going on release FN+Esc Keys

3 - 4 minutes write eeprom then reboot, that's all.

I will try to do v. 2.22 too.
Let me know, I will do.
regards

P.S. Polish ?

Thank you!

This Bios is the same for three model :
Acer Aspire V3-571G - E1-571G - TM-P253-E

They have all the same bios and I have done mod for ver.2.21 is here on this site :
http://rghost.net/52646862

You have to use Recovery Method to flash it so follow this guide :

Use USB Image prog to clone USB image file on your USB stick and try the Recovery mode in the same manner as before :

When your laptop is switched off and unplugged Power cable

1. Plug the USB stick into your laptop.

2. Press the FN and ESC keys together and keep on pressing during the next two steps.

3. Reinsert the power cable and then press the power button.

4. When the fan starts up, the led is blinking, then the USB stick will flash for a second or so showing it is being read. then release the Keys, the process during 3 - 4 minutes.

5. At the end laptop will reboot normal.

Let me know ! I am waiting your news.

Ok You can do your own USB stick Formatted Dos Fat32 Bootable using this HP tool :
http://rapidgator.net/file/aed7999f2b7fe...W.rar.html

Choice your USB and format Fat32 select DOS internal to render it bootable and do it
Then open the USBimg32.ima by UltraISO program (find on internet) and extract bios into, this file is the bios, so copy it into your USB stick just ready to boot in DOS.
So now you have your USB stick to try.
I suggest to check which bios version You have installed as if is below than modded You have before update your bios to the same version as it modded and then flash the new modded.
Also You check for secureboot and disable it.

It worked on Travelmate P253-E so go !
I'll wait an reply.

Hello,

Sorry for my bad English.

I hope someone can help me.

I have the bios mod flashed from ver.2.21 BDMaster on my notebook Acer V3-571G.

Everything was going well as it had sollte.Bis I changed some setting.

I have changed some setting accidentally under graphics.

Since then I get the laptop unbootable.
The fan spins briefly about 3 seconds and then goes the notebook
already again and makes a restart.

Unfortunately, you can not flash the BIOS again, this I have already tried.

Is it maybe possible the BIOS ressetten or otherwise bring to default setting?

Thanks in advance

This is most frequently as graphic Card setting are stored in VSS Eeprom space and cannot rewrite.
You can try to clear CMOS on the board, find for battery or jumper used to do it, and after It needs to try an recovery mode ith original bios file here :

http://rghost.net/52736097

Rename it as Q5WV1X64.fd (It's the Recovery name bios to use) and put in an USB Dos formtted bootable and follow the guide (as You done for flashing modded one) :

When your laptop is switched off and unplugged Power cable
1. Plug the USB stick into your laptop.
2. Press the FN and ESC keys together and keep on pressing during the next two steps.
3. Reinsert the power cable and then press the power button.

Greetings,

I flashed the modded bios successfully on an Acer V3-571G ver 2.21 and have access to the "Advanced Menu". The only problem I've come across is fan control is not working. The fan speed is set to [100] at [70c] but I hear no change in speed once temp of the cpu reaches 70c, any ideas?

Thank you for taking the time to mod this bios!

Upload some screen shots menu tabs unlocked detailing on fan if there is some.
I unlocked it, but I haven't this laptop, Itìs only theory as I cannot look any monitor any pc from my side is fantasy Wink !
I will try to look if there is some EFI code to unlock and get more options.
I advice don't touch Graphics Card setting as will brick laptop !
Unlocking bios not means all is permit, instead anyone have to ask before do anything, Manufacturers lock it to inhibit Dangerous modifies.
