7260AC-card doesn't work on HP G62-a19SO

Hi Members.

I am trying to replace my old wifi-card in the PC: HP G62-a19SO with the Intel 7260HMW card with Dual Band Wireless AC.

I found this forum about how to make the Bios accept the wifi card with NWL. Had F.0A and tried with sp55430NWL and the bios crashed. Updated to latest F.48 and then tried sp55430NWL. This works. Just a little helper if you have the same problem outthere.


Well, my problem is now that I can switch WLAN ON and OFF on the button on my PC, but the card doesn't register this in Win7. The HP wireles assistant does though. The HP wireless Assistant is working for turning Bluetooth on and off, but no WLAN is registered.

I have tried deinstalling HP wireless Assistant and installing the Intel drivers through the automatic update program. Removing the device in device manager and reinstalling. Nothing works. The card seems correctly installed, but just says hardware switch is OFF even though the button works and I can switch it ON and OFF. It just stays OFF.



Can anyone help me out?


Thanks so much for wonderful help with removing whitelist, just doen't help if it will not read the card properly.

Search my posts (topic with RSA bypass) and you'll find sp55430 or 01439 modded BIOS.

Or try few times to activate wifi.Long time ago using some other mods have same problem but after 3-4 consecutive Fn+FX (can't remember sure if is F11 or F12) wifi get activated,but at every boot start in off state and was annoying.

Thanks. It sounds like what i need to get it working. Read the other threads.

I can't dl the file though. It wants me to install all sorts of things and still not working. Could i convince you to use filedropper or other place instead?

Will report back if/when it works.

WARNING!!!! Dont enter link above. Got a virus and cant remove it and can hardly start up PC and it keeps crashing. So have to use two days reinstalling my customized OS. Thanks ?????

I'm sorry. Didn't mean to accuse you of anything. Just the site 4shared from which really got a virus configuring my hardware and making me get the screen No OS found and suddently turning off when i finally got it booted.. After a reformat everything is good.


Thx for your screens, but it wanted me to dl all sorts of programs when clicking those buttons. Still wants me to connect with social media. Think i got the right file now though.

I will test it very soon. I trust you've done a good job modding and only interested in helping. No reason to get upset. Edit: I am really grateful for your work ahead of testing. So thank you very much.. Cross my fingers that it works
