ACER Aspire M5620 won't boot from usb anymore

Hey all new here,

my computer can't boot from any usb devices anymore, i think it's a bad flash.

Either the bios or smbios, ever heard of that?

i tried with 5 diff keys, from dos to linux to miniwindows to hiren's boot cd on usb, no go.

the F12 boot menu sees the device but it just won't read from it when i choose it. its like it stalls when it starts to read from it.

any ideas?

Acer Aspire M5620
Q6600 quad core, 4gb ram
ocz 120 gb ssd
Win 32bits

Tech support over at Acer are funny people charging 200$ just to "fix it" out of warranty.
