ACER SF314-52 ".fd file" usb recovery

Greetings all, hoping you might aid me in my plight. 

My acer SF314-52-52V8 has suddenly gone "black screen of death" and refused to wake up from sleep, no screen, no backlight, just black. 

NO splash screen on boot. 
I have tried battery reset and external display to no avail. 

I am under the impression this is a BIOS ISSUE (related to the garbage windows 10 update packages?) and attempting to flash from a USB, 

The 314-52G is the same download package from acer. 

I have tried the instructions here:https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...os-FD-file using HereaCrisis to no avail. 

the computer does shut off but does not seem to install anything and I am wondering if it is down to a file name issue???


Any help is GREATLY appreciated, as ACER support is completely useless.

Try to rename the .fd file to Skol_IL.fd and then the fn + ESC procedure
