AHCI REQUEST P5KPL AM EPU

Hi,
Is it possible to add AHCI to ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU?
It seems there's just ICH7, not ICH7DH & ICH7R.
Latest official bios 0501 attached.

Hi,

I am just a beginner and I have the same board. The problem is that i can't see hidden entries concerning AHCI. So is ICH7 definetly not compatible with AHCI even with loading module in the bios or whatever ?

If it is what I think, ICH7 is not supported at all. So there are two options :
- AHCI with an external card but speed limited to 250 MB/s (because of the PCIe 1.0 1x limit)
- Stay in Sata 2 with speed limited to 300 MBs but without AHCI and so without TRIM.

Honestly I don't know which one is the better. I would say the first option but not really sure of that.
