[ASUS N46VZ] Laptop black screen after changing settings in BIOS
#1
Exclamation
Laptop Model : Asus N46VZ
Proc : i5
OS : Windows 10

what i change in BIOS settings are :
  • Launch CSM - Disabled
  • Fastboot - Disabled
  • Secure Boot - Disabled

after that, i press F10 to save changes and exit.
laptop will restart, and then when restart i got black screen.
but keyboard light, Notification Light all lights up, Fan is running.

what is the possible cause ?
is it VGA ? BIOS ? or something else ?
how to fix this problem ?

thank you very much.

Remove the laptop battery, HDD, ODD, one (of two) DIMM and try to boot without them.

i think i already tried this before, but it doesnt work.

what i already tried :

shutting down the laptop, removing the AC Adapter, removing the battery , and holding down the power button for 1 minute. and i got nothing, still the same.
- dissambled my laptop, remove the CMOS battery for 20 minutes, put it back then turn on my laptop and still got nothing.
switch RAM position, still nothing. i only have 1 ram, but my laptop got 2 ram slot. so i try to put the RAM in the other slot, and still nothing.
- tried to use a 2nd monitor, but nothing came out.
- i downloaded the bios from asus website, put it on my flash disk, rename the bios to correct bios name (i identified the name using phoenix tools) and then using CTRL+HOME while holding power button when turning on my laptop to flash the bios, the flashdisk lights is flashing which indicated that my laptop is reading it, but after a while i got nothing, screen still black.

and now my laptop is in service (not asus service) and decided to flash the bios using bios from asus website, but nothing, its still black screen, i think because the bios from asus is not flashable. maybe(?).

so now im stuck, i dont know what to do, i really hope you/anyone can help me...

thank you very much!
